Are you an experienced Purchasing Manager who is now looking for an exciting and rewarding purchasing opportunity within a growing ingredient company?
You will be a strong negotiator with the ability to develop, Lead and demonstrate a decisive judgement in deciding which strategy to adopt in an ever changing procurement market
Key duties will involve:
Key management of two members within the procurement team.
To achieve annual procurement savings in line with budgets/forecast
Process the ability to deliver a formal strategic review of UK procurement and develop a formal strategy for moving forward.
To establish strong relations with internal management team and have capability in influencing the organisation to adopt the ideas and strategies presented.
To establish category management across the key areas of spend
To be able to identify best practices within procurement activities.
To identify and build strong relations with strategic suppliers and bring the top key Suppliers through a Formal Supplier Management Program.
To identify procurement opportunities and performance gaps originating from ingredients, products, packaging, equipment, processes and procedures throughout the client products
To manage effectively, efficiently and economically procurement versus budget and communicate any impact or changes which need to be made.
The successful candidate will have:
Established procurement experience
Previous Food or Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
Management experience within Procurement
Contract and Supplier Management
Project management experience
Experience in working in cross functional teams
Dynamic and driven
Excellent Communication skills
