Purchase Ledger Manager - Bolton - up to £32,000 per annum

Your new role

You will be responsible for the development of the Accounts Payable function, improving procedures and controls to ensure it can continue to support current needs and meet the company's aggressive growth plans, whilst overseeing day to day operations to ensure first class delivery.

Responsibilities:

Meeting financial team deadlines to include month, quarter and year-end close duties, balance sheet management and reporting requirements.
Providing operational guidance to the Accounts Payable team for day-to-day activities such as processing payments, resolving queries and managing ongoing monthly activities
The management of all aspects of the Accounts Payable team including performance management, recruitment, and skills management
All suppliers being paid in accordance with agreed T&C's. Assisting with escalated queries from suppliers
Provides management reporting as required. Ensure the team are customer focused and that they understand who their customers are and deliver the required levels of customer service at all times.
Running weekly and monthly reports and analysing them. Oversee audit processes within Accounts Payable function

What you'll need to succeed

Previous Accounts Payable experience in a team environment
Supervisory or management experience
Strong people development and coaching skills
A good understanding of the purchase ledger cycle to include processing reconciliation and payments at an advanced level
Attention to detail and be organised to manage own workload as well as others
Ability to communicate at all levels within the company
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and company guidelines
Improvement of purchase ledger processes
