Purchase Ledger / Accounts Administrator

My exclusive, well established and market leading client based in Kendal is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy team on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate’s roles and responsibilities will include the following:

- Ensuring that all invoices are processed, coded and authorised promptly
- Matching invoices with the purchase orders and goods received, and reconciling any discrepancies
- Reconciling supplier statements monthly
- Processing supplier payment runs in a timely manner
- Handling bank payments online in multiple currencies
- Checking and processing employee expenses
- Maintaining up to date supplier details
- Resolving queries by liaison with suppliers and other departments

Additionally, assisting the other team members you will assist with:

- Processing manual payments and direct debits
- Intrastat reporting
- Checking and processing employee expenses

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a friendly and cheerful manner, with a focused approach to their work and a high level of attention to detail.
