Production Planning Manager - Food manufacturing
Salary: £42-55,000 + car allowance + bonus + benefits
We have a great opportunity for a Production Planning Manager to join our Client’s food manufacturing site in Flintshire. As the Production Planning Manager you will form part of the site leadership team, reporting into the Site General Manager you will coach and lead a team of 6 planners and have full responsibility of looking after the end to end processes on site including ordering of raw materials and ingredients, and overseeing the planning of Low Risk and High Risk products on site. There are currently 102 SKU’s to plan so this is a complex fast paced operation requiring an individual with intellect, relevant experience and great leadership skills.
As a Planning Manager you will be responsible for delivery and understanding of the Supply of high and low risk food products into the customers.
You will be responsible for supply into retail, internal & external customers.
You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to include Site General Manager’s, Supply Chain Demand Planners, Trading, Procurement Suppliers and Finance teams.
You will ensure day to day that stock targets are right and look at Planning from a strategic perspective. You will ensure the effective and accurate delivery of the Planning KPI’S which are - delivery times of plan to operations, delivery time of Orders to Supply chain.
Degree educated or equivalent
You will have worked in Supply Chain or as a Production & Manufacturing Planning Manager or equivalent, within a fast paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food manufacturing.
You will have strong influencing skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across teams.
Experience of leading high performing teams is essential as will need you to be an inspirational leader to perform well in this role
Fresh and chilled food planning experience would be advantageous
You will be experienced in using a planning database like Oracle or SAP with strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
You will have demonstrable experience of delivering strong customer service with the ability to make challenging decisions to ensure consistency with service to our customers.
You will have a proven track record of improving planning process via understanding industry best practices and keeping up to date with this.
A proven track record of implementing and improving planning processes and systems to improve service within a Manufacturing to Retail operation is highly desirable.
