Primary Teacher

This is a vacancy for a Primary Teacher with SEMH experience, to start ASAP at a Primary PRU in Manchester.

This is a full time & long term role with the potential to turn permanent for the right person.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay - up to £190/day depending on experience and qualification.

Paid PAYE direct with Tradewind, we don't use umbrella pay companies.

They are looking for a teacher who can naturally engage and motivate young people from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds while setting clear boundaries and working collaboratively with the classroom TAs to manage any behaviour.

Each group has no more than 8 pupils and there is at least two Teaching Assistants in each. Pupils are working at lower levels than expected for their age and need to overcome emotional obstacles to learning before progressing with academic work.

The curriculum is varied and differentiated for each group, therefore the right teacher will be someone who has prior experience adapting to the needs of children with SEMH or SEND and someone who is patient, empathetic and willing to persevere over time.
