The Company
We are delighted to be supporting a well established business based in Darlington. They offer a range of services to a diverse customer base from a head office in the North East. They are looking to take advantage of automation in order to streamline business processes and improve efficiency. 

With customers across the UK this role will be based out of head office and work as part of a small internal team developing software and tools to help the IT team deliver high quality online products and services based on user needs and business objectives.
You will assess user needs, design solutions, and deliver working software and then take that through the development lifecycle into production, from where you will contribute to its continuous improvement.
This will require you to be able to manage your own time as well as that of others who may be collaborating on a development project with you. You will be required to work with internal stakeholders and third parties as required.
At each stage of delivery, you will be able to collect and analyse usage data through user interviews and tools and suggest next steps

The Role
Responsibilities will include;
  • Analyse the business requirements and needs of the internal teams and propose solutions.
  • Design and develop user-friendly and functional applications using tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Integrate the applications with various data sources and services using connectors, APIs, and custom code.
  • Test and debug the applications and ensure they meet the quality standards and performance expectations.
  • Deploy and maintain the applications and provide technical support and training to the end-users.
  • Stay updated with the latest platform features and best practices and share knowledge and feedback with the team.
  • Enhance or fix defects to legacy internally developed systems following the agreed BAU, hotfix, and change management release processes.
  • Demonstrate solutions to technical and non-technical audiences of all levels.
  • Production of high-quality design, technical and support handover documentation.
  • Function as an integral part of the IT team, actively contributing towards the development of our tools, services, and platforms.
  • Review and contribute on a regular basis to the ongoing improvement of team practices and approaches with a view to making the team more effective and improving our service delivery. Where appropriate you will lead on delivering changes in working practices.
  • Conduct user research with other members of the company to identify either improvements to our existing services or where new services could be developed.

The Person
Candidates will need to have experience with MS Power Platform solutions, specifically Power Automate and Power Apps. Able to work comfortably with users, gathering requirements before designing, developing and deploying solutions both internally and for customers.

The role will require you to be based in the office in Darlington and also able to travel, occasionally,  to client sites across the UK. 

Working on a wide range of solutions you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and commercial awareness. There is potential to progress beyond MS Power Platform and work with C#, Python, Javascript to develop custom applications.

Salary will be up to £35,000.
