PHP Developer (Yii Framework) – Contract

Location: Glasgow (1–2 days per week on-site)

Rate: Up to £400 per day

Contract: 6 months

IR35: Outside IR35


Our client, a leading organisation within the digital and technology space, is looking for an experienced PHP Developer with strong Yii framework expertise to support a key programme of work. This contract offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of business-critical applications in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.


What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP applications using the Yii framework
  • Work on existing systems while contributing to new feature development
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Support debugging, optimisation, and performance improvements


You’ll work closely with a small, experienced development team to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.


What we’re looking for

  • Strong commercial experience with PHP
  • Proven hands-on experience using the Yii framework
  • Experience working on complex, data-driven web applications
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and backend development best practices
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular on-site collaboration


The ideal candidate will be proactive, delivery-focused, and confident working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
