PHP Developer (Yii Framework) – Contract
Location: Glasgow (1–2 days per week on-site)
Rate: Up to £400 per day
Contract: 6 months

Our client, a leading organisation within the digital and technology space, is looking for an experienced PHP Developer with strong Yii framework expertise to support a key programme of work. This contract offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of business-critical applications in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
What you’ll do
- Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP applications using the Yii framework
- Work on existing systems while contributing to new feature development
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Support debugging, optimisation, and performance improvements
You’ll work closely with a small, experienced development team to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience with PHP
- Proven hands-on experience using the Yii framework
- Experience working on complex, data-driven web applications
- Solid understanding of MySQL and backend development best practices
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular on-site collaboration
