Job Details

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pensions Administrator to join our Pension Service based at East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne's Crescent, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1UE.

This role is a bank role with an hourly rate of  £8.72 hour.

About the Role

Orbis is a public sector organisation like no other, it’s a partnership between Surrey, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council, with expertise, innovation, and customer-focus at the heart of what we do.

Although we’re part of the public sector, we bring a unique commercial focus to our pensions administration work, ensuring we provide best value for all our local authority partners. Right now, we administer schemes with 250,000 members across East Sussex and Surrey. We’re also making history by working in partnership with four London boroughs. We are developing new member and employer portals, and actively pursuing innovative ways of using technology to provide the best possible service to our scheme members.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team. The Pensions team is based in Lewes, East Sussex and run the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join a ground-breaking organisation.

You will be responsible for a data cleansing exercise due to the up and coming pension valuation in Spring 2019.

We don’t expect you to have any experience in pensions – what’s more important is that you enjoy working with figures and have a strong attention to detail.

You will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy team, the ability to work flexibly and be able to prioritise workloads to meet challenging deadlines.
