PECS/MAKATON Experienced Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldham

Salary: £85 - £90 per day

Job type: Long-term, temporary

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm

Start date: January 2024

End date: May 2024

Year group: KS1/EYFS

Tradewind are seeking a strong Teaching Assistant who is eager to support children with communication difficulties. This includes children with needs such as ASD, SEMH and Global Delay that require an experienced individual to support them access the learning.

We will also welcome applications from Graduates looking to progress in Education with no current classroom-based experience, or those with Nannying experience.

About the role:

Working with a child in KS1 with communication needs/ speech delay

Lead interventions when necessary

Create stimulating learning resources to encourage academic progress

Track pupil progress and work collaboratively with the class teacher

Help to set up and tidy up at the start and end of lessons

Requirements:

Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is essential

Must have lots of initiative and a pro-active approach

Bachelor's degree is ideal but not essential

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
