Assistant Payroll Manager

My client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to work within their expanding team. 

CORE DUTIES:
Entering payroll data from start to finish accurately
Reconciling payroll to client data
Preparing payroll journals
Analysing weekly and monthly PAYE figures
Calculating SSP/SMP/SAP
Preparing Bacs files
Producing and distributing pension scheme returns, including notification of changes in members’ status and uploading to pension provider
Dealing effectively with queries from clients and HMRC

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Payroll bureau experience
Excellent numeracy and communication (verbal and written) skills
Evidence of being a proactive, hands-on team player who is confident in working to changing priorities in a busy department
A natural organiser with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Knowledge of PAYE
MS office (intermediate Excel)
Working knowledge of computerised payroll software 
Ideally CIPP qualified or working towards it
