Payroll and Expenses Manager

Our Client a leading provider of Contact Centre Consultancy and Technology are looking to recruit a Payroll Manager with the following skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of Sage and Cascade
  • Maintain and ensure that all data is accurately inputted into the payroll system & HRIS in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and timescales.
  • Update payroll records from authorised changes to personal data
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on overtime, on-call, commission and any other variable remuneration
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly group payroll
  • Perform variance analyses month-on-month for review with CFO/Group FC
  • Ensure that authorised monthly BACS files are produced for employee and all statutory and voluntary payroll deduction payments
  • Upload payroll and pension data to relevant bureaus and 3rd parties
  • Produce payroll journals to strict deadlines
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between payroll system and accounting system and investigate any variances (both income statement and balance sheet)
  • Provide reactive and proactive appropriate, timely, accurate pay advice to appropriate parties.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, incl. benefit brokers and bureaus, on all queries
  • Assist with commission calculations and reconciliations in line with approved company scheme
  • Process and pay expense claims in line with company and HMRC policies
  • Calculate, produce and file all statutory returns, including PSA, P11Detc.
  • Record, process and ensure that all pension information, returns and payments are processed.
  • Consult with, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Produce year end returns.
  • Maintain payroll and expense guidelines by updating and implementing policies and procedures
  • Assist with development and implementation of commission schemes
  • Assist with annual pay review calculations and implementation
  • Proactively develop and improve systems and processes, working practices and service delivery within the payroll remit
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes and deduction
  • Embed the organisations objectives, plans and chosen organisational culture.
  • Completing fiscal year end procedures accurately and on time.
  • Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
