Payroll and Accounts Clerk

MERJE are working with a established independent firm of accountants based in Burnley who are looking to acquire an experienced payroll and accounts clerk to join their busy team.

You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of between 20 - 30 clients to ensure you process their weekly and monthly payroll schedule including dealing with any queries. This will also involve calculating any SSP, SMP, holidays and sickness allowances and deductions.

Alongside your payroll duties you will be required to provide bookkeeping services to a wide range of clients and to be available to support them with any sage line queries. This will include answering any questions and troubleshooting queries your clients have about their sage line accounting software.

This firm work in a friendly and relaxed environment and can accommodate for candidates who are potentially considering to work on a part time basis.
