A leading accountancy practice based in Woking are looking to recruit a Payroll Bureau Administrator on 6-month fixed term contract basis. This role would suit a candidate with strong payroll experience and a high attention to detail.

Key responsibilities of a Payroll Administrator:

  • Processing of salaries and wages of an allocated group of payroll clients
  • Assisting with other payroll work in the event of holiday/sickness
  • Completion of employer's year-end returns
  • Accurate collating and entering all payroll data on system
  • Setting up PAYE schemes with the Inland Revenue
  • Setting up new employees on payroll and calculation of pro rata payments accordingly
  • Liaison with clients, pension providers, Inland Revenue, and other bodies

Experience required:

  • Payroll bureau experience is essential
  • Experience using STAR is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills is a must
