Payroll Accountant

The Payroll Accountant, is responsible for overseeing the administration and accounting of monthly payroll and benefits in London, Dublin, Singapore and Zurich. In addition, the Payroll Accountant is responsible for the monthly and quarterly accounting and internal and external reporting for all aspects of Compensation & Benefits. The Payroll Accountant will also support the Corporate Finance function.

  • Support the Corporate Finance, Cash and Accounts Payable Team with preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting and management information.
  • Review and reconciliation of the monthly outsourced payroll for London, Dublin, Singapore and Zurich, including expatriate payroll.
  • Manage outsourced payroll vendor.
  • Assist with tax withholding calculations related to employee mobility (e.g. LTI awards) including managing external vendor and liaising with employees.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc payroll and benefit queries for employees in London, Dublin, Singapore and Zurich.
  • Ensure payroll process is SOX compliant.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax legislation and resulting payroll implications.
  • Review and post the monthly salary journals and quarterly compensation accruals.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly compensation & benefits variance analysis.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Annual Compensation budget's for London, Dublin, Singapore and Zurich.
  • Support the RSM Finance Director, Global & Local Finance and HR Teams with ad-hoc reporting relating to compensation and benefits or corporate finance for internal reporting purposes or special projects as needed.
  • Provide internal and external auditors with information related to quarterly reviews and year-end audit, including SOX404 processes for payroll.
  • Complete the Annual Directors' Remuneration Certificates for London &
  • ACA, ACCA qualified or similar preferably with 1+ years PQE
  • At least 3-5 years' relevant payroll accountant experience is advantageous
  • Candidates with a knowledge of payroll in all 4 locations will have an advantage but this is not essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of administering and accounting for payroll and benefits.
  • Strong, up to date knowledge of payroll legislation including RTI submissions and Auto-enrolment.
  • Working knowledge of a SOX 404 environment
  • Experience working with G/L reporting applications (e.g. Epicor) is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with various internal and external parties
  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and pursue work with energy, drive and focus.
