A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and bright individual to join a national wealth management company as a Paraplanner.

My client has an office based in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre. The firm have grown both by acquisition and organically, they have a proven track record and are financially secure. They provide expertise on private investments, retirement planning, life cover, personal finances, inheritance tax, mortgages and many others.

Your responsibilities will include:

-To review fact-finds, client risk profile questionnaires, file notes etc. provided by the Financial Planners to gain an understanding of clients requirements
-Compiling suitability reports that detail the recommended advice to suit client’s needs and uploading the report into the system used
-Record, monitor and report on progress by completing weekly logs
-Discuss the reports with the Financial Planner, amending as required
-Report obstacles from the agreed timescales to the Financial Planner and Financial Planning Administrator to ensure client expectations are managed appropriately.

The experience you need:

-Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
-Demonstrable paraplanning experience
-Knowledge of research tools i.e. O&M, FE Analytics, Cash-flow research, product comparisons
-Experience or willingness to work with a centralised investment proposition
-Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
