Paraplanner Manager

We are currently recruiting for a boutique financial planning business who specialise in dealing with HNW individuals who have complex financial planning requirements. They are expanding and have decided to recruit someone to manage a small team of Paraplanners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage or delegate with oversight a suite of client reports taking into account all aspects of the planning and service proposition. Oversight of the continuing suitability of all planning tools currently used and make suggestions for alternatives as appropriate
  • Classic management responsibilities of delegation and quality control, maintaining efficient workflow management
  • Assist with technical issues and improve operational performance. Overseeing the communication of technical developments, including Budget updates and legislative changes to planners and clients
  • Recruitment for your team. Induction, training and development of new and existing technical staff members. Encourage qualifications advancement and monitoring CPD
  • Set and monitor performance and KPIs to ensure the department is operating in line with business requirements
  • Establish strong relationships with advisers and senior management
  • Manage the department efficiently and lead by example

What you will need:

  • An ability to quickly and independently make sound decisions
  • At least 5 years experience in a paraplanning or technical role within the financial service industry, most recently as a senior paraplanner
  • Extensive experience of third party research projects including platforms, SIPPs and fund research, ideally including the creation and management of model portfolios
  • Ideally educated to graduate level
  • Diploma qualified
  • Chartered status or close to
  • Candidates with managerial experience would be preferable
