The legal team of experts have in their pedigree many landmark cases, offering the full range of legal advice to clients involved in all levels of personal injury. The team handles cases that are highly complex, often lasting many months if not years. You will be working in a department that works on cases relating to fatal accidents, spinal injury, multiple orthopaedic traumas, including cases of utmost severity. amputations, brain and psychiatric injury. This will give you a great opportunity to progress from this initial role, which is focused on the litigation/dispute resolution and advisory services, specifically handling a high-quality caseload of SCT & Fast-track claims.
As a Litigated Paralegal, you will be liaisingwith and taking instructions from clients. Using your personality and communication skills to negotiate with Third Party insurers and claimant representatives and instruct medical experts along with assessing medical evidence. The claims cycle will require you to draft and file Court documents, value personal injury claims and build relationships with clients, often meeting them in person. As you continue to work through the case you will draft witness statements and assess liability, instruct experts and assess claims for special damages, including credit hire. During all of this, you will be working in a professional and engaging environment.
The Litigated Paralegal role is ideally suited to those with a background in handling claims for an insurance company, law firm as a Fee Earner, supplier or TPA. The Litigated Paralegal role does require Fee Earners to have a minimum of 6 months Personal Injury Motor litigation experience. You will be looking to maximise your Law degree or Chartered Legal Executive qualification.
