Our Client

Our client is a market-leading provider of professional services based in Leeds City Centre. Due to steady and phenomenal year-on-year growth, and in anticipation of further expansion, they now seek an Operations Director to work at a strategic level; managing all aspects of the business' operational activity.

The Role

This is a brand-new role, created in order to assist the senior management team in ensuring maximum efficiency, consistency of approach across the business and achieving strategic goals. There will be emphasis on the management of facilities, IT and support functions and you will be financially accountable to the business - reviewing commercial and supplier contracts and rates, budgeting and providing essential leadership and guidance when managing potential future expansion and office growth.

Given the nature and requirement of this role, you will have daily interaction with the senior management team and therefore senior-stakeholder engagement and exceptional communication skills are paramount.

You will also have a high degree of autonomy and decision-making across multiple areas of the business.

Other essential elements of the role will include (but will not be limited to):

Conducting in-depth reviews and analysis of all workflows, projects or contract documents in order to be familiar with every detail and/or requirement, and you will therefore be used to working with significant and high-level data.

Working hand-in-hand with colleagues to create a mutual understanding of the strategies to be employed and to deliver each project requirement.

Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilised to maintain an environment of continuous improvement.

Support the company in operational business planning and making sure the business is adequately prepared for additional expansion through space utilisation and

Be the go-to person for decisions on operational queries.

Ensure business continuity through disaster recovery planning

Ensure ongoing compliance with both statutory and company quality standards

Lead regular operational management meetings with heads of departments

To that extent, you will be very commercial; highly organised; you will possess strong skills in diplomacy and negotiation; you will be a natural and analytical problem-solver.

Experience, qualifications

Appropriate management qualifications.

You will have demonstrable previous experience of:

Managing operations, ideally within a professional services environment;

Project Management and leadership skills;

Client service standards;

Streamlining & improving efficiencies;

Planning and Future-proofing;

Business continuity and disaster recovery planning;

Outstanding communication, organisational and analytical skills.

In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (including IT, finance, administration and client service).
