Becoming a Network Deployment Engineer with Capita IT Services - Location Chelmsford.

The Network Deployment Engineer is responsible for implementing network solutions and changes in support of Project and Client Management requirements, supporting all elements of the Capita/Updata network and its external client base.

The Network Deployment Engineer is required to collaborate with Network Technical Design Authorities, Project/Programme Managers, and clients to implement solutions based on approved designs to the required timescales. They will be capable of implementing Network solutions in an efficient and effective manner with the emphasis being on service excellence and right first time delivery. Candidates are expected to have a demonstrable background in the implementation of large-scale Network Architecture projects, an understanding of how network technologies impact on and are impacted by other IT infrastructure technologies, and should be used to working within a controlled Change Management environment.

What you will do:

  • Be able to accurately interpret network designs, to plan and implement project roll outs using the appropriate Change Management process

  • Be able to work to defined standards, often against challenging timescales

  • Be able to work to defined standards and practices

  • Actively contribute to continual service delivery improvement

  • Be able to work with the minimum of supervision to exacting timescales

  • Assist with troubleshooting as required

Your experience will include:

  • Routing & Switching (Cisco) / WAN

  • Firewall Solutions (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and/or Cisco with some Juniper)

  • Load Balancing (F5)

  • Candidates will be expected to have demonstrable senior experience, and will likely be working towards achieving a CCIE or similar accreditation
