Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

DAYS SHIFT PATTERN - 8.30am - 5.00pm (Monday - Friday)

£28,000 - £35,000 + 7% Pension + Life Assurance (2 x salary)

Due to rapid expansion and recent investment, a well-established manufacturing company is looking to expand its engineering team by employing an experienced maintenance engineer. This unique and exciting opportunity offers full training on their machinery and plenty of progression so you can advance your career as you grow with the company.

The company design, manufacture and build their specific machinery and supply it to a wide range of clients, ranging from small medium enterprises through to well-established big blue chip companies. As an engineer you will be working within multiple different industries, either gaining experience within industries you haven't worked in before or using your experienced knowledge to install, maintain and repair machinery on site.

Role Description
*Mechanical knowledge - building machines using specifications.
*Electrical knowledge - wiring motors, control panels and electrical systems.
*Planned maintenance on machinery to keep production running smoothly.
*Attend breakdowns promptly and rectify them quickly to reduce downtime.
*Fault finding and problem solving on site.
*Installation work of new machinery when required on customer's sites.
*Working on automated equipment on site.
*Programmable logic controllers experience (advantageous)
*Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
*Working alongside a team of maintenance engineers.
*Direct report to the Engineering Manager.

Skills and Qualifications
*NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering.
*17th Edition (advantageous)
*Time served experience within a manufacturing or automation environment (advantageous)
*Would consider engineers from a military background (full training provided)
*Paper / Corrugated / Food or any fast paced production background.
