Activate Learning is currently looking for a confident and motived individual to teach Modern Foreign Language (as part of the Learning for Leisure programme) part-time courses to our adult provision.

You will be teaching a diverse group of learners from all backgrounds that ultimately share similar passion in learning or enhancing their skill set within MFL within a friendly and informal environment. These courses will predominately require someone who can commit to working weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings across our campuses in Bracknell, Reading, Earley and Woodley.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

The post holder will need to have the ability to recognise and accommodate individual's level of learning in-order to differentiate lessons accordingly.

You will encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and ensure that the classroom atmosphere is positive at all times. In addition, you will have the responsibility of ensuring the following requirements are meet,
  • developing programmes of learning activities
  • planning, preparing and researching lessons
  • preparing teaching materials
  • contact/teaching time with students on an individual or group basis
  • attending staff meetings as necessary
  • Confident in teaching remotely, strong IT skills are essential

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
