Primary Care Support England (PCSE) provides support services to GP Practices, Pharmacies, Dentists and Opticians.
On 1 September 2015, Capita took on responsibility for delivering NHS England's primary care support service - now called Primary Care Support England (PCSE). Our priority is to continue delivering the services customers receive today, but also introduce new arrangements to help us create national, consistent services for all our users.
The support we offer ranges from key administrative and payment services, to managing supplies, performers list and market entry applications through to moving medical records. We do this and more for GPs, Dentists, Opticians and Pharmacists as well as those working in the teams around them and associated disciplines.
About the job
The MI Analyst will Produce regular MI reporting for supported Service Lines. Develop new reporting solutions at the request of business lines. Deliver analysis to identify business improvement opportunities. Become an SME for their supported Service Lines; understanding use of systems and how this creates data / MI reporting opportunities for the MI function.
What you will do
The MI Analyst will ensure the quality of their MI deliverables meets levels required by the PCSE partnership.
Operational Reporting is critical to successfully meeting contractual requirements. Established reporting requires constant maintenance and there are regular demands for enhancements to existing reports as well as new reporting requirements. Measuring & driving operational efficiency is an ongoing business goal.
The MI Analyst will contribute to the new Data Warehouse by helping to provide clear data requirements to the data Roles within the team. Requirements gathering will draw on all existing data sources and new sources as PCSE's transformed systems and processes continue to be implemented and embedded.
Creating compelling analysis is critical, challenged by a traditionally non-data driven culture. The MI Analyst will work with Operational teams directly to identify opportunities using robust data analysis.
Essential role related knowledge, technical skills, qualifications and experience
Strong database skills, worked with SQL / DB2 or similar
Strong Excel skills
Able to present data in a visually compelling way using a variety of toolsets - / EXCEL / COGNOS / TABLEAU / SSRS
Able to plan and organise own workload - can deliver to deadline
Good Powerpoint skills
Understand the wider E2E business process(es) operating in Supported Service Lines
Expert in how supported Service Lines use system(s) to collect data and how this flows into MI & Analysis datasets
Understands the commercial relevance of Contractual KPI's for supported Service Lines
Adopts a professional approach when interacting with colleagues
Logical approach to problem-solving
Asks insightful questions at appropriate times
Able to engage stakeholders
Articulate; able to communicate in layman's terms
Able to work in a demanding environment; can use own initiative
