Minimum 6 month contract: £180 - £220 per day

Working in a team of 6. the main focus of the post is to support the Head of News and the Deputy Director of Media Relations in the delivery of effective media relations to ensure balanced coverage of the Trust's messages. This involves assisting the interaction with print, broadcast and online media, generating positive awareness of achievements, regulatory actions and policy initiatives where appropriate and handling sensitive situations that could have an adverse effect on the reputation of the Trust.
It is essential you are education to degree level or have equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in media relations, CIPR or NCTJ would be advantageous. Alongside having a successful track record of working on proactive media campaigns and handling difficult issues in the media, you will be persuasive and influential when dealing with and influencing journalists and the media.
Though there is flexibility on your sector background, it would be advantageous if you have experience of working within health communications, ideally in the NHS, or/and previous experience of working in Central Government. Previous experience of working as a Journalist would also be desirable but this is not essential.
