Mechanical Engineer - Lab Automation - Cambridge
A class-leading developer of biotechnology products in Cambridge are looking to expand their in-house R&D team by bringing on board a Mechanical Engineer.
We are looking for people with a passion for engineering and solving complex real-world problems.
This exciting new role will give the Mechanical Engineer an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the life sciences sectors alongside world-class engineers and scientists.
You will be utilising your extensive mechanical engineering skills to design complex hardware design projects for products aimed at the laboratory automation space. You will be heavily involved in the design process from initial concept through to the delivery of the projects, which means you will be able to take complete ownership of the product. Your work will range from the design of small mechanisms through to larger automation technology.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related subjects as well as some experience within a highly regulated environment. Although you will not be using CAD on a daily basis you will need to be proficient in either SolidWorks, Creo, ProE or Siemens NX. You will also need to possess excellent mathematical skills and knowledge of FMEA and DFMA.
