Marketing Manager

Our client is a very successful and ambitious business based in South Manchester, who are looking to add a Marketing Manager to their team due to an internal promotion and continued growth.

The role will involve:

1. Understanding the business & various target audiences

To be successful in this role the starting point is to gain a deep understanding of the market within which the business operates, the brand and its proposition, positioning in the market, product, service and price in relation to competitors, the target audience and required customer journey experience and the long-term ambitions of the business.

2. Customer Insight & Intelligence

As with all members of the marketing team, the role holder should act as a customer champion to ensure client is Customer Centric in approach throughout everything we do, by putting the customer first in decision making, in order to deliver a market leading customer experience, throughout all aspects of the customer journey and various brand touch points. In essence the role holder must live the marketing team vision; not just to be customer focussed, but customer obsessed

3. Marketing Campaign Planning

In conjunction with the Director of Marketing, develop the annual marketing plans to drive commercial performance, setting and agreeing business objectives and KPI targets to be achieved and budgets to work within.

4. Marketing Campaign Management

Take responsibility for managing and flawlessly executing all marketing campaigns accurately, on time and to schedule, working closely with the internal Marketing Services Team to ensure they are briefed sufficiently in advance so all deadlines can be met and activity results can be measured effectively and in all cases obtain the full co-operation, teamwork & liaison with various internal & external marketing personnel & agencies to facilitate delivery of activity.

Person Specification

Qualifications
Degree level graduate
(Ideally in a Marketing or business-related subject)
Post-graduate qualification
(Possibly in a specialised Marketing specific discipline such as CIM diploma)

Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum of 8 years previous B2C marketing experience in more than one client-side general marketing manager role
Customer acquisition, lead generation, loyalty & retention proficiency essential
Experience managing Omni-channel marketing campaigns, with in-depth knowledge of and experience across all elements of the marketing mix, from ATL to BTL, digital to offline, outdoor to point of sale and everything in-between.
Experience building brands which reflect their positioning and USP in the market, providing added value to the customer
Proficient budget management > 0.5m
Commercial, target driven marketer, rather than a fluffy creative, but with an innovative approach to idea generation
Proficient in all Microsoft applications
Proven experience working within a fast moving, results orientated, target driven business
