I have a brilliant opportunity for a Manual Lathe Turner to be a part of a team within a process driven manufacturing environment. The role is based at innovative creator of resilient products and technology at a site in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Manual Miller / Turner Role:

You will be responsible for working on high tolerance components. You must have experience in manual machining and be able to work to tight tolerances alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

*Work to close tolerance, small batch work
*Learn and Operate multiple machines within the business
*Interpret and work to engineering drawings
*Use overhead crane for fixture transportation
*Follow Batch Card and Standard Working Instructions
*Good Computer Literacy Skills
*Cover holidays and capacity issue with overtime when required

Skills, Experience & Qualification:

*Machining sensitive or critical components
*Operating Manual Milling machines
*Self inspection and recording results of produced components
*Good level of numeracy / literacy

Essential Requirements:

*Understanding of tooling
*Work as part of a team or individually
*Good communication skills
*Follow SWI & procedures
*Continuous Improvement Eg: 5's

Hours:

- Days: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
