An exciting opportunity has arisen for an analytically minded Management Accountant to join the growing finance team of this exceptional not for profit organisation. This new role is pivotal in leveraging new Management Information Systems to enhance financial and management data usage, improving efficiency and impact delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller and Chief Finance & Impact Officer, providing support to the Management Accountant and Bookkeeper with daily finance operations.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Review primary information and support the preparation of monthly management accounts within ten working days post month-end.
  • Develop and prepare the monthly management pack, including variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with finance leads across Business units to develop and support appropriate analysis for regular reforecasting exercises.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasting as a key management tool.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of our management information systems, enhancing decision-making through improved reporting.
  • Update finance procedures post-implementation of new systems.
  • Provide cover and support to the bookkeeper and Management Accountant.
  • Jointly prepare finance reporting, including VAT, FCA, and other returns, as well as information for the annual audit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in producing management information and conducting variance analysis.
  • Proficient in assessing and analysing high volumes of data and transactions from different systems.
  • Integrity, discretion, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Competence in using cloud-based accounting packages (e.g., Sage, Access Financials) and advanced Excel spreadsheets and models.

The role will predominantly be home-based, though you will also need to attend meetings in Central London a few times per month.
