Housingrecruit.com is currently advertising for a full-time M&E Service Manager on behalf of our client a leading charity and housing association based in Bournville.

Aiming to build on a well-established and highly respected service which delivers excellent customer care in delivering day to day repairs and significant planned and cyclical maintenance programmes, they are now looking for someone with the right blend of strengths, experience and ambition to lead and manage the delivery of an effective end to end M&E service through their in-house Direct Labour Organisation.

You will be responsible for all M & E servicing, installation and maintenance programmes, including (but not exclusively) for Gas, Electrical, Mechanical, Lifts, Door entry systems, CCTV, & Emergency Lighting, leading the operational team from their property care services in Birmingham and Telford. You will be providing an effective maintenance service to the Trust Group, Managed Societies and internal and external clients for residential, commercial and agricultural properties achieving good value for money and high customer satisfaction levels. The combined annual turnover of BPS in Birmingham & Telford is circa £5.5m with huge potential to increase this amount for the Trust.

The Trust has ambitious plans to grow and expand its DLO and the successful candidate will be at the heart of these exciting developments.

You will have demonstrable experience in managing staff and trade operatives, delivering maintenance services. If you have the right attitude, the determination to succeed, excellent leadership skills and good background knowledge in the building industry then our client welcomes your application.
