A global logistics business is looking for a Project Manager to take the lead on a logistics development & transformation programme. It’s a 5-year transformation that will develop the logistics and distribution network to allow the business to operate more efficiently.
Part A) 9-12 months of project governance and management for a European warehouse consolidation that has already been designed (less hands on with the logistics, more about making sure people do ABC at XYZ point).
Will report in to the exec project committee, with dotted responsibility for local management teams.
As the project nears completion, so too will travel demands, with up to 75% of time spent at site in mainland Europe.
Part B) Years 1-5:
Doing the same as above, on a global scale. This will have more input into the operational design, site sourcing, development of the logistics network etc.
At this stage, the business has mapped out key time-frame milestones, and is looking for someone who can put the project structure into place around this.
Part C) 5 years+
During the first 5 years, you’ll be developing a deep understanding of the logistics and wider supply chain function of the business, leading to opportunities to head up logistics or wider supply chain management.
If you have experience of heading up and leading logistics / distribution projects, with Prince2 and Six Sigma certifications, we’re interested in hearing from you.
The role offers the opportunity to be a key player in the development of an international supply chain, with the backing and support of the senior executive team. It’ll be a high-profile role in this business unit, and the wider group business.
