A fabulous opportunity for a Logistics Officer, to join a warm and welcoming team in East/Greater London! Our client is a well-established company who operate in the chemical distribution industry and are looking for a candidate who is hardworking, confident and assertive.


  • Providing logistics advice to the business managers/logistics manager

  • Reporting to the Logistics Manager on progress of all activities and on areas of particular risks to the company

  • Monitoring business managers’ working capital usage: stock, prepayments, debtors, cash, creditors and accruals

  • Learning from the logistics support process to identify and communicate matters of business improvement

  • Ensuring that the company satisfies its obligation under each deal

  • Assist the business managers by raising opportunities identified to increase their profits generated or to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their working

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Written and spoken English
  • Educated to degree level in supply chain, logitics, science or maths degree/background
  • Logical and analytica
  • Confidence in Mathematics
  • Understanding financial and management accounts
  • Operating Microsoft office programmes
  • Confident and assertive
  • Interested in developing business skills
  • Understanding international trade issues will be an advantage
  • Other European languages will be an advantage

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm
