Legal Secretary - Conveyancing

Our client, a large, nationwide practice is recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join it's conveyancing team in Newbury.

Working as a Team Conveyancing Secretary, your role will be to provide high quality support to the residential property team. Within your role, you will be tasked with general administrative work as well as completing some simple conveyancing tasks including chargeable work for clients.

Given the nature of the role, you must be highly-organised and able to handle working in fast-paced, pressurised and technically challenging environment. In order that the team continue to provide an exceptional service to their clients, you must ensure that all documentation is updated and recorded as required, diaries are kept up to date as well as ensuring that all papers are collated and prepared ahead of key meetings. You will also assist with billing and matter management, document production and work to mitigate risk by monitoring team compliance with the SRA code of conduct.

You will be an excellent communicator; acting as a point of contact for clients as well as being able to work in a collaborative and helpful way with your team. You must have an excellent standard of written English and high standards of presentation when preparing and proof-reading documentation relating to client matters. Using your experience in a similar role, you will work to continually improve processes to ensure that the team continues to work in the most efficient and productive way possible.
