Learning & Development Advisor

We are searching for an experienced Learning & Development Advisor

Overall job purpose

To provide proactive support to the deliver the Learning & Development offering through delivery of training, project management and ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of one day personal development courses

- Schedule dates to suit demand

- Ensure course content is kept up to date and continuously reviewed

- Send course materials to venue

- Collate and review course feedback

  • Delivery of student residential courses (two and three day)

- Attend student residential courses at an offsite location

- Liaise with the student and technical teams to confirm and schedule course dates

- Ensure course content is kept up to date and continuously reviewed

- Send course materials to venue

- Collate and review course feedback

- Assist with other elements of the course 

  • Manage the relationship with external provider

- Schedule dates for courses

- Monitor attendee numbers to ensure they meet criteria set by the external provider

- Ensure content is reviewed on a regular basis

  • Manage and run the DofE Gold Award through Business programme

- Manage the delivery of the programme for RSM students

- Liaise with DofE on a regular basis

  • Monitor the L&D intranet content
  • To assist with preparation for internal assessment centres.
  • Support on ad hoc work allocated by the Learning and Development team
  • Review and update the online content of the national induction programme
  • Actively participate in L&D projects 
  • Any other ad hoc duties relevant to the role

Personal and professional qualities

The role requires:

  • Experience of delivering training
  • Experience of working effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Establishing effective working relationships with L&D Managers, Advisors and Administrators
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Proven track record of working pro-actively and using own initiative
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Travel and overnight stays are a key part of the role to ensure effective delivery of training.
