Salary £50,000 to £55,000 plus benefits

Are you a Lead Developer who enjoys building robust platforms that genuinely make a difference in high availability, mission critical environments?

This is a chance to take technical ownership across a suite of enterprise level services used in remote and challenging locations worldwide. You will sit at the heart of a collaborative technology team, shaping architecture decisions, mentoring developers, and driving best practice across modern software delivery.

You will be leading development across Linux based systems, working with both bespoke and open source technologies, and playing a key role in the ongoing evolution of in house platforms covering areas such as VoIP, networking services, traffic management and scalable infrastructure.

What you will be doing

• Leading and contributing to system design and development using Agile and Scrum principles
• Acting as technical lead and mentor to Developers and Graduate Developers
• Designing developing and maintaining Linux based software solutions
• Owning CI CD pipelines and driving improvements in code quality and testing
• Working closely with product and account teams to support rollouts demonstrations and escalations
• Producing clear high quality technical documentation
• Making informed technical decisions considering performance scalability and commercial impact

Tech environment

You will work with a mix of the following technologies

Linux Debian and Ubuntu

Apache and MySQL

Python PHP Bash ReactJS NodeJS

CI CD pipelines Bitbucket Jira

Testing frameworks such as Pytest Jest Cypress or Xray

IP networking VoIP and distributed systems

What we are looking for

• Strong commercial experience as a Developer with leadership or senior responsibility
• Solid background in Linux based environments and modern development practices
• Experience managing CI CD pipelines and code quality tooling
• Confident communicator who can work across technical and non technical teams
• Comfortable taking ownership and working autonomously when required

Desirable experience

• SOA or service based architectures
• Satellite networks or complex communications environments
• VoIP platforms such as Asterisk
