Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure)

VIQU are searching for a Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure) to lead initiatives in the Azure domain within a vibrant team of tech and business experts committed to democratising digital transformation for businesses of all scales. As the Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure), you will assume control of an agile group of cloud consultants, guiding the execution of high-calibre MicrosoftAzure solutions. Your duties encompass supervising projects, distributing resources, and strategically coordinating with the Cloud Head to synchronise team deployment with overarching objectives. This position provides a platform to nurture client satisfaction and demonstrate your technical expertise, guaranteeing the effective deployment of state-of-the-art solutions. The responsibilities of the Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure) will be split 50/50 between team management and active participation in billable project delivery for their clients.

The Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure) will be required to visit the office in Manchester at least once a week with the opportunity to expense travel and hotels if needed.

Requirements of the Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure):

-          Extensive experience with Azure as a subject matter expert

-          Client facing exposure working in a consultancy position or MSP environment.

-          Proven experience managing a team of Cloud Engineers.

-          Strong understanding of Azure landing zones, Azure networking and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

-          Experience Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, CI/ CD Pipelines and Kubernetes.

-          Excellent communicator to a mixture of clients.

-          IT consultant sales

Responsibilities of the Lead Cloud Consultant (Azure):

-          Project Management: Assign project tasks, optimise resource utilization, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

-          Team Management: Lead and manage a team of consultants, overseeing the performance, mentoring, and career development of each team member.

-          Client Management: Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions.

-          Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on Azure services, leading infrastructure, applications, and services design and implementation.

-          Quality Assurance and Governance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices, compliance standards, and security guidelines in Azure implementations.

-          Collaboration: Collaborate with the Head of Cloud to align team utilisation, provide project updates, and contribute to cloud strategies.
