Laboratory Analyst - FTC Maternity Cover

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Chemist, the Laboratory Analyst is responsible for supporting the chemical testing required during various stages of the manufacture of products at Thetford. You must work as part of a team to ensure the required testing is performed following established practices and within the required time frames.

  • Performs testing on various process samples
  • Participates in any required laboratory investigations as required
  • Follows the established procedures when performing testing
  • Follows Good Quality Control Laboratory Practices at all times and ensures the work area they are responsible for is maintained in a clean and tidy state
  • Provide support to the Laboratory Manager in any reasonable request relating to the laboratory operation.

About you:

  • Science based education at degree level or equivalent (preferably in a chemistry based subject) preferred but not essential
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel
  • Experience in working within a laboratory environment is preferable but not essential

In this role you will be working a two-shift pattern rotating, early shift (6am - 2pm) and day shift (9am-5pm).
Occasional 5am start required on early shift.
