Do you have prior experience supporting people with Hearing Impairment?
Are you proficient in British Sign Language, BSL, at Level 2 or above?


We are looking for a Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant to start ASAP supporting Hearing Impaired pupils at a primary school deaf resource base in South Manchester.

  • Full time, Monday to Friday.
  • Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Pay up to £110/day depending on experience & qualification.
  • Supporting primary school students with Hearing Impairment.
  • You will need to be able to translate verbal instructions from class teachers to students.

*You must have BSL Level 2 or 3 and have some prior classroom support experience.

You will be required to support with understanding and comprehension as well provide pastoral, social, emotional and behavioural support. At times you may need to assist with note taking and scribing.

  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • A minimum of 2 professional references.
  • A CV with a full history from your education until present.

  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • BSL proficiency at L2 or above.
