I am recruiting for a KS1PRU Primary Teacher to start ASAP on a full time & long term basis at a primary Pupil Referral Unit in central Manchester.

Excellent rate of pay up to £220/day depending on experience.

Paid PAYE direct via Tradewind, we don't use umbrealla companies.

You will be teaching a KS1 group of no more than 10 pupils, with TA support. Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm each day.

The PRU is rated GOOD by Ofsted in all areas and caters for young people at primary age. It is located in south Manchester and has fantastic links with local mainstream schools as well as other organisations and outside agencies. They're building is converted and furnished to meet the needs of their pupils to help support in managing their emotions and behaviours. The school curriculum is differentiated to meet the needs of their pupils. There is significant ongoing training for permanent and long term supply staff so that children are supported in the best possible way.

Pupils all have an EHCP for Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs, SEMH, and can sometimes display challenging behaviours. While challenging at times it can be incredibly rewarding as their pupils are some of the most vulnerable in society and so need to most extra help and support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people who need additional help & build strong meaningful relationships with your pupils.

To join us and be successful in this Primary PRU Teacher role, you will need to:

  • QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
