Uniserve is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Junior European Operator. This role plays a critical part in our road, rail, and short sea freight operations, ensuring the seamless movement of our clients' products from origin to destination on time while maintaining a high level of professionalism, proactivity, and positivity.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Promote Uniserve European services to both prospective and existing clients.
  • Utilise One World as the main operating system.
  • Understand accounting processes and demonstrate commercial awareness to maximise profitability.
  • Conduct negotiations and contractual activities effectively.
  • Ensure estimates are allocated for all expected costs, and sales invoices are raised in a timely manner.
  • Verify that all files have been costed, charged, and completed correctly.
  • Protect the interests of the business and escalate any concerns to Supervisors and Managers.

Daily Routines and Responsibilities:

  • Receive bookings from customers and liaise with overseas partners and suppliers to arrange appropriate transportation.
  • Enter and update all shipments in our supply chain management platform, One World.
  • Plan and operate groupage, part load, and full load trailers for both imports and exports.
  • Arrange collections and deliveries.
  • Prepare customs documentation for our customs department in Dover.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, keeping clients updated and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Complete administrative or operational tasks as assigned by your line manager.
