Java Developer

• Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite – Solihull)

We are seeking Java and Lead Java Developers with current SC + NPPV3 clearance to support complex engineering, platform integration and live service environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing new features and integrations across secure biometric and identity platforms
• Supporting live, mission-critical systems and troubleshooting production issues
• Building high-quality Java microservices and APIs
• Contributing to Agile delivery teams focused on reliability, performance and secure coding

Core Skills & Experience

• Java
• Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration, Spring Batch
• Microservices architecture
• REST & SOAP Web Services
• JPA/Hibernate
• PostgreSQL / Aurora
• ActiveMQ or similar messaging technologies
• CI/CD: Maven, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube
• Docker, Linux
• AWS (EC2, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, KMS, CloudWatch)
• Experience supporting live environments
• Strong Agile mindset (Scrum, TDD, BDD)

Nice to Have

• Angular / Node.js
• SQL performance tuning
• BPMN (Activiti)
• Jaspersoft
• Spring Cloud
• Exposure to secure or regulated environments (Gov, Defence, Policing)
