Working in IT Support with Capita IT Services

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our fast paced, dynamic team. The role will be an internal-customer facing position and will require solid IT and desktop support skills along with excellent communication skills.

What you will do:

  • Provide onsite technical support to internal system users by troubleshooting issues and working directly with vendors to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve IT problems to the end users satisfaction.
  • Supporting company users across their systems, daily upkeep of the IT support tasks, monitoring services, reviewing system and application logs
  • Proactively engage Capita users regarding their end-user computing support needs by encouraging drop-ins and by performing floorwalking to help users get the best out of their IT equipment
  • Track, update and resolve requests and incidents via our incident management system

  • Setup of new starters - user accounts, laptop/PC builds, mobile phone & desk phone

  • System account administratio

  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

    Your experience

  • Experience in an IT or Desktop Support role

  • Friendly and approachable, with proven customer service experience and the ability to convey technical concepts to end-users.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Microsoft Windows 7 / 10 & Microsoft Office 2013

  • Microsoft Office365 Email / Applications

  • Anti-virus software - McAfee and Symantec

  • Configuring, deploying and supporting IOS and Android devices.

  • Experience of working in ITIL-based support environments.
