IT Software Asset Coordinator

This is a hybrid position that can be based from either of our offices in Peterborough, Chesterfield or Tunbridge Wells.

As an IT Software Asset Coordinator, you will support the management of the organisation’s digital assets related to software and technology. Your role will involve tracking, organising, updating, and distributing software licenses and other assets. Although the primary focus of your role will be software, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and efficient utilisation of all IT EUC assets.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Track and maintain software licences, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
  • Monitor licence usage, renewals, and expirations.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Finance on licensing terms.
  • Optimise cost and flexibility and align with strategic direction and Identification and execution of cost improvement opportunities.
  • Support streamlining of processes affecting licence or user based EUC use.
  • Manage and escalate risks in respect of licence usage.
  • Support recertification of issues with usage and access controls
  • Work with partners and suppliers to be able to provide specialist advice and guidance and market trends and insights.
  • Define and maintain asset management processes.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience of software licence management and licence models in an Enterprise environment.
  • General IT knowledge & Experience.
  • Ability to work proactively as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Ability to express and present ideas and facts concisely.
  • Comfortable with analytics and forecasting.
  • Strong organisational skills, diligent with attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded and numerate.
  • ITIL Framework. (Advantageous)
  • Cloud Knowledge and hybrid licencing. (Advantageous)
