Following the departure of the current post holder an exciting opportunity has now been created for a talented, highly skilled IT Network and Security Technician to join the Team at Derwentside College.

What you will do

We are seeking an individual with proven experience of supporting Microsoft Networks, Microsoft Cloud Services, and administering security relating to servers and end point devices, showcasing strong customer service skills and incidentmanagement capabilities.

You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and administration of network systems, software, and IT resources in the College, and manage the College’s physical and virtual server estate, including backup configuration and disaster recovery. You will support and administer the security systems of the College in line with IT security policies including firewalls, security software and other relevant platforms to help the College to retain its Cyber Essentials+ accreditation and enhance the already excellent systems.

You will be dynamic, driven, and ambitious with a determination to be successful, with a 'can do’ attitude and an ability to demonstrate a resourceful and imaginative response to problems and opportunities.

This is a permanent, full-time post (working 35 hours per week). Starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience.
