IT Field Engineer

Position Overview: As a Field Engineer (IT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and implementing IT solutions tailored to meet our clients' needs. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, collaborate with internal teams, and make a meaningful impact on the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support to clients, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT infrastructure components, including servers, routers, switches, and other networking devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized IT solutions that address clients' specific requirements.
  • Document all technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to provide proactive recommendations for improving clients' IT environments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Field Engineer (IT) or similar role, with a strong background in providing on-site technical support.
  • Driver’s License and ability to commute around South London.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, including servers, networking equipment, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Active Directory , VMWare and DNS/DHCP
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
