IT Engineer - London - Independent school -Ex Bens

ESP is delighted to be working again with one of the UK’s leading organisations of independent schools. The two schools that require immediate assistance are based in London. Both schools are looking for an experienced and dependable IT Engineer. You will be primarily working at the one school though with responsibility for other nearby schools. Your work will be integral to your school’s development although the work will allow you - once or twice a week - to pivot across to other schools making sure that there is a seamless operation of the IT systems and infrastructure across other nearby sites.

Your work will be varied and stimulating involving: - technical support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT equipment and systems. Although you will be based at one independent school, when there is a need for you to visit nearby schools any expenses incurred, between sites, will be covered by the client.

Ideally you will have some Education sector knowledge - However this is not essential for any candidates that can show a proven IT career where you have shown to be technically strong, with excellent communication skills and at all times, customer-focused.

Job Details

• Lead point of contact for IT issues in allocated school(s).
• Proactive management, monitoring and maintenance of the school’s IT systems.
• Maintain IT asset register for school.
• Assisting school IT leaders develop and implement their IT strategies.
• Work with school IT leaders to ensure IT supports the educational needs of the school.
• Provide technical support for school IT systems.
• Install new and upgraded IT systems.
• Ensure the integrity of the school’s IT systems are maintained.

Technical Skills Required

Strong technical skills, specifically in the use of Microsoft products such as: Microsoft 365 suite, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 and above, Active directory management, Group policy management, Intune and Entra
