About the Role
We have won an exciting new contract to deliver an innovative Independent Travel Training service in Surrey, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to travel independently, greatly enhancing their lives and life chances.
We are recruiting an experienced project manager with a proven track record in project implementation including budget development, control and reporting. You will be responsible for developing the service, motivating the team and driving success. You will be talking to schools, parents and young people about the benefits, forging partnerships with like-minded organisations, developing resources and materials to promote the service and managing a range of high level stakeholders including investors, commissioners and service users.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with multiple stakeholders, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues and have exceptional communication skills. Essential for the role are excellent organisational and people management skills and an ability to build lasting relationships. You will be comfortable presenting information in a range of formats to diverse audiences. You must also be willing to undertake and to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.
