Hospital Porter required to work within our large facilities Client based in Headington on a temporary assignment.
As a Hospital Porter, your role will be to carry out a range of Portering duties within the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Duties will include (but are not limited too):
- Collecting/returning blood from the blood bank
- Taking broken beds to the bed store
- Collecting and distributing for wards and departments
- Taking specimens from wards/departments and placing them in the laboratories
- Transferring patients to and from wards/departments
As the ideal Hospital Porter you will: Demonstrate an ability to listen and understand simple instructions, clarify any uncertainties and convey routine information to others, maintain politeness, sensitivity and respect for others, taking into account equality and diversity - especially in areas with public interface such as wards.
These positions involve working with children or vulnerable adults and are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Applicants wishing to be considered for these positions must reveal all convictions, cautions, warnings and reprimands held or pending, spent or unspent and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
