The Head of Finance will be responsible for delivering organisation wide change and initially working on moving towards a service delivery business model and taking advantage of the growing commercialisation of funding in the charitable sector. Having gone through six years of growth, the organisation combines a family feel with the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing enterprise. This position offers a great opportunity to take advantage of being one of the core providers of rehabilitative services which, due to a movement towards contracts funding, is perfectly positioned for significant expansion over the next few years.
The successful candidate will ideally blend commercial acumen with a strong interest in the organisations objectives and the not for profit sector more generally. This position requires a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA) who can build strong relationships internally and across the sector. Working with a broad range of budget holders, the successful candidate will be able to work strategically and be a central part of the senior management team. Ideally, exposure to contracts, especially government contracts would be advantageous. Our partner is looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to add value in a short space of time. Realistically - this position is likely to suit someone who is interested in the values of the charity but who also wants a CV enhancing role and is ambitious to grow in the sector.
