Joining the TUI Group Product & Purchasing team as Group Yield Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical yield insight in order to minimise risk in guaranteed hotels as well as maximise group profit in hotels shared by TUI source markets. There are various ongoing projects to optimise how TUI Group effectively manages contracted hotel rooms between TUI’s source markets, and this role will play a key part in supporting these efforts and shaping the future setup of managing hotel rooms across source markets to maximise commercial benefit for the whole TUI Group.

This role may be based out of our offices in Luton (UK), Stockholm (Sweden) or Hannover (Germany).


What you will be doing

As Group Yield Analyst for Product & Purchasing you will be responsible for compiling, reviewing and creating proposals to maximise tour operator utilisation of shared Source Market hotels. The role is expected to support the strategic goals of the function through pro-actively identifying areas to build efficiency and optimise profitability through consistent and robust analysis of hotel occupancy positions. Additionally the role will carry out commercial analysis of negotiated contracts to identify trends and anomalies across TUI’s suppliers and destinations, leading to improved purchasing performance and behaviours. The position will have exposure to ongoing change and improvement initiatives across the function, and will be expected to bring an analytical and logical approach to driving forward commercial change within Group Product & Purchasing.

The role will operate across all TUI tour operators, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to organise large volumes of information in different formats to be interpreted and delivered in a consistent format with the relevant insight.

The role’s main stakeholders will be Senior Managers & Directors within Product & Purchasing as well as commercial and trading teams in TUI source markets, providing a service that will improve and drive efficiencies in the delivery to the TUI source markets. The role holder will liaise closely with TUI source markets to interpret local hotel occupancy information and to consolidate this at a Group level. This will be for a selected set of hotels predominantly relating to ‘Magnificent 7’ (i.e. RIU, Magic Life, etc) and large group commercial arrangements involving more than one source market.

The key deliverables expected from the role holder are as follows:

To identify potential for improved profitability for TUI Group by managing allocations to deliver higher TUI Group return while taking into account source markets trading considerations

To identify potential for mitigating local source market guarantee shortfalls by instigating
bed swaps from one source market to another

To ensure that any actions by the supplier, e.g. stop sales are allocated with minimal impact on TUI Group, i.e. one source market has alternatives versus another.

The role holder will work closely with source markets to understand what is available from the current yield systems in order to create a group view of hotel bed utilisation.


What we are looking for
  • Relevant yield or trading experience in one or more of TUI’s source markets (UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Benelux)
  • Understanding of tour operator product / purchasing preferred
  • Experienced in handling large volumes of information and data to provide meaningful output
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Commercial insight with ability to make important commercial decisions within parameters
  • Ability to make decisions and assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks of proposed options in a timely way, acting in the best interests of TUI group
  • Ability to articulate concepts and arguments verbally and in written documentation.
  • IT literate (experience of MCS, JILL, Destimo, Word, Power Point and Excel preferable)
  • Strong business English both written & spoken (additional languages preferred)
