Graduate Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic graduate to join a lovely secondary school in Trafford as a teaching assistant!

This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, paying up to £100 a day.

The Role:

• Support students within the classroom, providing tailored guidance and encouragement.
• Supporting small groups and working one-to-one with students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs, and ADHD.
• Collaborate with teachers and deliver small group instruction,
• promote a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere. Help students build confidence and a passion for learning.

Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure the support they deliver is of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches.

Experience in roles such as a Sports or Activities Coach in football, basketball, rugby, cricket, athletics, gymnastics, badminton, and tennis is often highly transferable experience for supporting behavioural issues.

Requirements:

• Previous children-based work experience
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or happy to apply for a new one)
• Able to provide a CV with a full education and work history
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the UK Schools curriculum and proficiency in core subjects
• Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
• Commitment to supporting student development and well-being
