This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary practice that is at the forefront of their industry. With their continued success, their office in Manchester is looking to expand their staff by taking on a new Sustainability Consultant. You will become part of a highly skilled team that will be working on various types of projects involving sustainable design and BREEAM assessments.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be architecturally trained or building related engineering backgroung
- Have a Master's degree in environmental or sustainable design
- Be keen to learn or use appropriate modelling and technical software to assess LB projects
- Have the ability to carry out data analysis
- Have some working knowledge of current regulations and standards relating to environmental design
Responsibilities:
- Assist in early strategic involvement in projects to promote an environmental response to design
- Involvement in the creation of net zero carbon strategies for clients and designers
- Carry out environmental calculations pertinent to the design of buildings
- Involvement in design and project reviews
- Assist with BREEAM assessments
- Undertake reviews of buildings in-use, analysing data and improve feedback loop to design team
- Contribute to bids and winning work
- Assist with the championing of the practice sustainability design profile externally
